Mahindra is once again generating excitement as it gears up for its annual product showcase on August 15. The company has been releasing a series of teasers, with the latest one featuring the Vision SXT concept. The new teaser provides a closer look at the rear end of the vehicle, showcasing unique elements like vertical tail lamps and two spare tires mounted in the bed. All indications suggest that this is a rugged pickup concept likely based on the Scorpio-N platform, similar to the Global Pik Up Concept revealed in South Africa in 2023. This marks the second teaser for the Vision SXT, with the first one offering a glimpse of the bold and rugged front fascia. The Vision SXT is among several upcoming concept vehicles that Mahindra plans to unveil at its "Freedom NU" event on Independence Day. Others in the lineup include the Vision T, Vision S, and Vision X. These concepts will all be constructed on Mahindra's new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform developed at the company's Chakan facility. The platform is designed to accommodate various powertrains, from petrol and diesel to hybrid and full-electric setups. While specific design details remain undisclosed, the presence of twin spare tires and a robust rear profile hint at the off-road focus of the Vision SXT. It is anticipated to uphold the utility-first approach seen in the Global Pik Up, with the potential for more premium or electrified versions in the future.
